Warren Larry Calhoun

Funeral services for Mr. Warren Larry Calhoun of Soperton will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery in Treutlen County. Reverend Griffin Beall will officiate. Mr. Calhoun died June 2, 2025.
Mr. Calhoun, 75, was the son of the late Warren Greely & Maude Alexander Calhoun. He was born on February 7, 1950, attended Treutlen High School, was a Veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a longtime Veteran of the National Guard Army Reserves. He was a self-made carpenter because of his love for working with wood, was a Baptist by faith and he loved his family very much. His sister, Carolyn Calhoun and two brothers, Howard Calhoun and James Robert “Red” Calhoun, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his three daughters, Jody (Keith) Horton of Vidalia, Jessica (Troy) Parrish of Adrian and Brandi (Matthew Duffer) Moon of Fayetteville, NC; brother, Kenneth (Sandy) Calhoun; sister, Myra Fountain; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Drew Barrentine) Spires, Brianne Horton, Hannah (Steven) Way, Charlie (Kasie) Horton, Lorah (Tristan) Greenway, Kaylah Parrish, Miranda Horton and Lyra Moon; three great grandchildren, Cayde Spires, Rosalie Greenway and Sarah Grace Hull; extended loved ones, McCally Moore, Chase Carter and Autumn Carter and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Calhoun, Steven Way, Tristan Greenway, Drew Barrentine, Charlie Stutz and Zachary Larrimore.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday, June 5th at the funeral home.
