Alma Brantley McDonald
Funeral services for Ms. Alma Brantley McDonald will be held Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Treutlen County with Reverend Marty Beacham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ms. McDonald died Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at her home.
Ms. McDonald, 88, was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Curlie Powell Tyson. She was born in Waynesboro, GA on August 25, 1937 and attended school in Burke County. She was a resident of Adrian, GA until her marriage to Marcus Brantley in 1968 when she became a farmer’s wife and homemaker in Treutlen County. After his death in 1999, she was married to Mr. John C. McDonald until his death. She also worked at Soperton Manufacturing Company and was a founding member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; her daughter, Angela Brantley Tanner; son, Allen Brantley and her seven brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickey (Wayne) Thomas of Rentz; son Steven (Dee) Brantley of Cedar Grove; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
The family will receive friends beginning at Noon on Saturday at the church.
