Bobby Felton Warnock
Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Felton Warnock will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church, Soperton with Reverend Chad Cofield and Reverend Gilbert Posey officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Montgomery County. Mr. Warnock died Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Mr. Warnock, 87, was the son of the late Ira Felton Warnock & Charlie Mae Warnock. He was born in Tarrytown, GA on October 6, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County. He was a graduate of Treutlen High School “Class of 1959” and was retired from the Georgia DOT after 32 years of service as an engineer/surveyor. After retirement, he worked for the Treutlen County Service Center for 17 years and also Treutlen Transit for 2 years. Mr. Warnock grew up as a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he married his wife, Inez, and they later moved their membership to the First Baptist Church, Soperton in 1979. At FBC Soperton, he served as a Deacon, church maintenance superintendent for many years and a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Treutlen County Fire Department for over 10 years and a United States Army Veteran. His three sisters, Betty Brett, Margaret Mizell and Jeanette Warnock and two nieces and Beth Brett and Catherine Warnock Proctor, all preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Inez Brown Warnock of Soperton; two daughters, Marsha (Glen) Stone of Tarrytown and Beverly Warnock of Fayetteville, NC; two brothers, James Warnock of Vidalia and Wyman (Cindy) Warnock of Dacula, GA; one sister, Melba Jenkins of Lawrenceville, GA; five grandchildren, Justin (Audrey) Sims, Stephanie (Anthony) Gibbs, Joseph (Kristina) Mullis, Wesley (Rebecca) Mullis and Cameron (Paula) Sharpe; 12 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, several nieces/nephews and cousins and Special Nephew, Ken Ricks.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Justin Sims, Joseph Mullis, Wesley Mullis, Cameron Sharpe, Jason Mullis, Joshua Mullis and Hanley Sims.
