John Patrick Pace
Funeral services for Mr. John Patrick “JP” Pace will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Soperton. Reverend Curt Poole will officiate. Mr. Pace died on December 21, 2024.
“JP”, as he was known to all, was born in Dublin, GA on December 7, 1987 and was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County. He was a “Class of 2006” graduate of Treutlen High School, attended Swainsboro Technical College and was Baptist by faith and loved the Lord. He was a welder for Dinex Emissions in Dublin, loved hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, “just being outside” but most of all spending time with his children. JP was a very outgoing person, always spoke to everyone, didn’t meet a stranger and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He loved his entire family, especially his Big Brother. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth & Joan Pace and his maternal grandparents, John T. & Rosalie Morgan.
He is survived by his wife, Courtney Vessell Pace of Soperton; his mother, Cathy M. Pace of Soperton; his father, Johnny (Lori) Pace of Glenwood; four children, John Matthew Pace and Bailey Payton-Morgan Pace of Dublin and Haizley Ciara Rae Vessell and Jaxson Kenneth Pace of Soperton; brother, Chris (Tiffany) Pace of Soperton; niece, Harper Pace of Soperton; grandfather, Joseph (Nancy) Moran of Warner Robins; several aunts, uncles, cousins and his special aunt Lisa Edwards of Macon.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Lyles, Adam Burns, Dusty Foskey, Ricky Vessell, Chris Pace and Mark Collins.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
