Virginia Elizabeth “Beth” Wall-Hester
A “Celebration of Life” service for Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth “Beth” Wall-Hester will be held Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 3:00 PM in the Hebron Holiness Church in Treutlen County. Reverend George Rhodes will officiate. Mrs. Wall-Hester died Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Mrs. Wall-Hester, 90 years & 4 days old, was the daughter of the late Cullen Evans and Martha Greene Evans. She was born in Miami, FL on July 12, 1936 and was a retired sewing machine operator with over 30 years of service with Apparel Brands of Wrightsville. She had been a resident of Treutlen County for over 30 years and a resident of Soperton for the past 5 ½ years. She loved fishing, sewing and designing clothes, making beautiful art work and was a member of Hebron Holiness Church. Her former husband, Roger Monroe Wall and her son, Ronnie Smith, both preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 5 ½ years, Gilbert Hester of Soperton; son, Jerry W. (Laney) Smith of Dublin; daughter, Trina Poole (Doug Odom) of Adrian; three brothers, Otis Cook, Elbert Evans and James Evans, all of Dublin; four grandchildren, Macey Smith, Megan Geiger, Alana Poole and Morgan Todd and eight great grandchildren.
