Charles Joseph Pullen
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Joseph Pullen will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery in Soperton. Reverend Bill Lee will officiate. Mr. Pullen died Thursday, July 26, 2018.
Mr. Pullen, 70, was the son of the late Joseph C. & Pearl Livingston Pullen. He was born in Newberry, SC and had lived most of his life in Treutlen County. He was a 1966 graduate of Treutlen High School and a 1972 graduate of the University of Georgia. He was the former Manager of Coastal Plains Equipment in Lyons and was also employed by Blanchard Equipment of Statesboro. He was a 33 year Mason and Past Worshipful Master of Harmony Lodge # 405, F & AM in Soperton and a 25 year Shriner of the Al Sihah Temple in Macon. He loved his family and was an avid steward of taking care of God’s world. He enjoyed being outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish, grow his garden and share what he grew with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Laurianne Hall Pullen of Soperton; brother, Joey (Tammy) Pullen of Soperton; sister, Gayle (Phillip) Blount of Statham; two sisters-in-law, Suzanne (Shep) Ingram of Soperton and Helen (Trip) Foy of Statesboro; 7 nieces, 2 nephews, 4 great nieces, 2 great nephews and his faithful lab, “Gator”.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Masons of Harmony Lodge #405 F&AM.
Active pallbearers will be Lonzie Parks, Chad Heath, Will Heath, Jordan Shurling, Brantley Ricks and Barry Toole.
Visitation will held from 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Treutlen High School FFA, 5040 S. 3rd street, Soperton, GA 30457 or a charity of your choice.
