Opal Brantley Wall
Funeral services for Ms. Opal Brantley Wall will be held Monday, July 5, 2021 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery in Soperton. The Reverend Tim Lamb will officiate. Ms. Wall died Friday, July 2, 2021 at Dublinair Health & Rehab in Dublin, GA.
Ms. Wall, 92, was the daughter of the late Willie & Georgia Emma Stanford Brantley. She was born in Treutlen County where she lived most of her life until moving to Dublin in 2001. She retired from Soperton Manufacturing/Woolrich Company after 42 years where she was an inspector. In the early 1960’s, she and her husband, Reverend Jesse Wall, together started the Soperton Pentecostal Holiness Church on First Street in Soperton. Ms. Opal has always remained a member of the church. After moving to Dublin, she established a Bible study at Woodlawn Senior Village and her own ministry at Dublinair. Her husband, Reverend Jesse Wall, two sons, Roger & Michael Wall and seven siblings, Woodrow & Edward Brantley; Fate, Donald, Alton & Clara Nell McKenzie and Georgia Mae “Julie” Johnson, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Mendy (David) Sohn of Dublin, Jennifer (Jason) Jordan of Macon and Jada Wall of Macon; eight great grandchildren, Jesse Sohn, Justin Sohn, Ben Collins, Rebekah Collins, Emily Collins, Jana Jordan Green, Josie Jordan, Jared Jordan and several nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be Don Belflower, David Sohn, Justin Sohn, Gary Cooper, Jason Jordan and Jared Jordan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1 PM Monday prior to the service.
