Thomas Harrell “Bubba” Rogers, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas H. “Bubba” Rogers, Jr. will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Reverend Trey Pate and Reverend George Grimes will officiate. Mr. Rogers died Tuesday morning, February 10, 2015.
Mr. Rogers, 57, was the son of the late Thomas H. Rogers, Sr. and Phyllis Ruby Holderness Rogers. He was born in Jacksonville, FL and had lived most of his life in Treutlen County. He was a 1975 graduate of Treutlen High School and also attended Technical College. He was the COO of Piglet Supermarkets, Inc., was a member of Harmony Masonic Lodge #405 in Soperton, the Alee Shrine of Savannah, the Al Sihah Shrine of Macon and the Swainsboro Shrine Club.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Smith Rogers of Soperton; daughter & son, Paula (Max) Lewis of Albany and Trey Rogers of Soperton and their mother, Pamela Wall Rogers of Statesboro; step-daughter & step-son, Deanna (Todd) Mason and Matthew Carter, all of Soperton; sister, Pam (Bryan) Gerbis of Soperton; step-granddaughter,
Emma Rae Mason and several nieces & nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Trey Rogers, Matthew Carter, Daniel Gerbis, Max Lewis, Andy Thompson, Sammy Young, Phil Gay, Kenny Poole, Roy Riner and Kay Stafford.
Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Higgs Funeral Home of Soperton has charge of arrangements.
