Funeral services for Mr. Randall Lee Lanier and Mrs. Marsha Mae Ricks
Lanier will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of
Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in the Warren W. Ricks
Cemetery in Treutlen County. Reverend Milton Thomas will officiate. Mrs.
Lanier died November 5, 2017 and Mr. Lanier died November 7, 2017.
Mrs. Lanier, 65, was the daughter of the late Kenneth H. & Hazel Johnson
Ricks. She was born in Macon and had lived most of her life in Soperton.
She was a housewife & homemaker and a Pentecostal by Faith. She and Mr.
Lanier had been married for over 48 years. She was preceded in death by
her brother, Pierce Ricks and sister, Sandra Worsham.
Mr. Lanier, 64, was the son of the late Inman & Selma Ladzak Lanier. He
was born in Savannah and had lived most of his life in Soperton. He was a
retired truck driver for United Trucking and a Pentecostal by Faith. He
was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Lanier.
They are both survived by their two sons, Spencer (Jennifer) Lanier of
Ramstein Air Base, Germany and Chris (Bridget) Lanier of Soperton and
three grandchildren, Garrett Lanier, Chelsea Clark and C.J. Clark. Mrs.
Lanier is also survived by her brother, Jeff Ricks of Soperton and three
sisters, Judy Ricks (Quincy) Garrett of Macon, Barbara (Mark) Gleeson of
New Castle, Australia and Tammy Ricks of Dublin. Mr. Lanier is also
survived by his sister, Patricia Lanier of Midway.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
