Talmadge Eugene Prickett
Funeral services for Mr. Talmadge Eugene Prickett will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in the Alamo City Cemetery in Alamo, GA. Reverend Owen Waters will officiate. Mr. Prickett died Friday, December 25, 2020 at his home in Soperton.
Mr. Prickett, 71, was the son of the late Belvin Neel (Buddy) Prickett and Agnes McGlohon Prickett. He was born on April 8, 1949 in Telfair County and had lived most of his life in Wheeler County. He had been a resident of Treutlen County for the past 21 years. He was a graduate of Wheeler County High School, a lifelong farmer and a former law enforcement officer for the City of Adrian. Mr. Prickett was a member and Deacon of Bear Creek Baptist Church in Montgomery County.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Katie Earline Thigpen Prickett of Soperton; two sons, Neel (Tina) Prickett of Mt. Vernon and Tracy Prickett of Soperton; three daughters, Linda (Kevin) Mercer of Mt. Vernon, Dorothy Yawn of Eastman and Inez Gillis of Soperton; brother, Etheridge Prickett of Workmore; eleven grandchildren, Madison, Hunter, Benjamin, Jeremy, Brandie, Dallas, Lynn, Tyler, Jonathan, Kayla and Gayla and nine great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Day, Robert Herrington and Larry Pittman.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Graham, Hunter Prickett, Benjamin Prickett, Matthew Cook, Anthony Gibbs and Martin Pauwels.
Visitation will be held Sunday night from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
