Willie Carson McCullough
Services for Mr. Willie Carson McCullough will be held Monday, November 16. 2020 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in the Lake Cemetery in Metter, GA at 1:30 PM. Reverend W R Connell and Reverend Ronnie Moore will officiate. Mr. McCullough died Friday, November 13, 2020.
Mr. McCullough, 88, was the son of the late Melvin McCullough, Sr. & Bena Collins McCullough. He was born in Candler County and also attended school in the county. He lived most of his life in Treutlen County where he was a carpenter at Adrian Housing and a farmer. He was a resident of Helena, GA for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Snowhill Community Church in Wheeler County and he loved to read his bible and fish. His late wife, Barbara G McCullough; the mother of his children, Susie Collins; son, Elbert McCullough; grandson, Richard Williamson and great grandson, Alvin Williamson III, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Smith McCullough of Helena; three daughters, Patsy (Norman) Miller of Soperton, Carolyn Beecher and Cynthia McCullough, both of Grays Landing; three sisters, Jannelle (John) Malone of Savannah, Vondell (William) Monroe of Metter and Mamie Ann Jones of Newington; six step-daughters; Margaret (Morris) Testa of Eatonton, Jeanette (Vernon) Smith of Hoschton, Kay Kitchens of Stockbridge, Sharon Daughtry of Alamo, Diane Lee of Alamo and Nina (Scott) Oubre of Mississippi; step-son, Curtis (Patty) Smith of Stockbridge; daughter-in-law, Cathy McCullough of Lothair; 15 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 24 step-great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and two step-great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Williamson, Alvin Williamson, Camden Wigley, Timmy Lee, Marty Braddy and Blake Walker.
Visitation will be held Sunday Night from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
The family will be meeting at the home of Patsy & Norman Miller in Soperton at 4924 Third Street.
