Robert (Bob) Edward Sanford
Mr. Robert (Bob) Edward Sanford , 82, of Vidalia died Friday, February 9, 2018 in Vidalia after an extended illness.
Mr. Sanford was born in Norfolk, VA. He had lived in Soperton for 37 years and was plant manager for Roydon Wear and Woolrich. He also worked for Brewton Parker College and was an enthusiastic Baron supporter. His wife, Betsy, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, daughter Robin Sanford Edwards and son-in-law, Glenn Edwards of Charlotte, NC; son, David Sanford of Young Harris, GA ; daughter, Holly Sanford of Watkinsville, GA and his grandchildren, Katie & Grey Edwards.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Summer’s Landing, Vidalia and Serenity Hospice, Vidalia for their loving care and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the Alzheimer’s Association.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
