Rebecka Breanna Goodwin
Funeral services for Ms. Rebecka Breanna Goodwin will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in the Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery in Treutlen County. The Reverend Alex Franks and Sheriff Tommy Corbin will officiate. Ms. Goodwin died Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.
Ms. Goodwin, 26, was born in Dublin, Ga on December 15, 1994. She was a lifelong resident of Treutlen County and a Treutlen High School “Class of 2013” graduate. She was a THS soccer player and softball player in which she lettered all four years. She loved to fish and hunt, especially squirrel hunt, and ride her side by side. But most of all she “loved her family”. Rebecka was a plant operator for East Coast Asphalt Company in Treutlen County and was a Christian by Faith. She was preceded in death by her family members, Brenda & Ray Jackson and Gary Wayne Goodwin.
Survivors include her parents, Ryan & Tara Griner of Soperton; two sisters, Maria (Tafoya) Snead and Kiersten Griner; maternal grandparents, Margie & Charles Nobles; paternal grandparents, Becky & Carlton Griner, all of Soperton; her beloved girlfriend; three nephews, Hayden Quintero, Raylan & Tobias Snead; Goddaughter, Kamber Braddy; aunts & uncles, Lee (Michael) Freeman, Denice Goodwin, Billy Wayne (Nikki) Goodwin, Maynard Edenfield and numerous other aunts & uncles; close cousins, Matt, Tiffany & Critty Edenfield, Taylor Edenfield-Ray, Colby & Blake Myers and numerous other cousins.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Holmes, Dusty Barwick, William Sumner, Dylan Jeffers, David Warnock, Matt Edenfield, Garrett Braddy, Jordan McDaniel & Colby Myers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
