Sara Joyce Swain Wilcher
Graveside services for Mrs. Sara Joyce Swain Wilcher of Soperton will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Heath Cemetery in Treutlen County. Reverend Paul Beasley will officiate. A “Celebration of Life” service will be held beginning at 2:00 PM Saturday afternoon following the morning service at the Masonic Lodge in Soperton. Mrs. Wilcher died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. Wilcher, 80, was the daughter of the late J.E. Swain & Ellen Joyce Willis Swain. She was born in Adrian, GA on September 28, 1943 and was a graduate of Adrian High School. She was a retired sewing machine operator for the Soperton Manufacturing Company, had lived most of her life in Treutlen County and was a Baptist by faith.
Sara loved to go to yard sales and flea markets but loved her family most of all. Her son, Doyle Watts, two brothers, Fuzzy and Ronnie Swain and daughter-in-law, Alka Watts, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Bruce Watts and two daughters, Connie (Diana) Watts and Lisa (Ricky) Vessell, all of Soperton; brother, Rickey (Pam) Swain of Lyons; four grandchildren, Corbin (Tia) Watts, Emilie Watts, Courtney (J.P.) Vessell and Brent Jackson; six great grandchildren, Ricky Jackson, Robert Jackson, Haizley Vessell, Jaxon Pace, Luca Watts and Cadence Watts.
Visitation will be held Friday Night from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
