Glenda Dale Abney Lampp
Memorial services for Ms. Glenda Dale Abney Lampp of Soperton will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 PM. Reverend Paul Keen will officiate. Ms. Lampp died Friday, August 19, 2022 at her home.
Ms. Lampp, 73, was the daughter of the late Fred Abney, Sr. & Grace Gilliard Abney. She was born in Hawkinsville, GA on September 3, 1948. She was a graduate of Dublin High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Macon State College. She was a retired RN from the Dublin VAMC and was also employed by several nursing homes and visiting nursing services. She really loved all of her grandchildren & great grandchildren, loved to read and was a big “Elvis Presley Fan”. Ms. Lampp had lived most of her life in Treutlen County and was a Baptist by Faith. Her daughter, Sonya Kay Lampp Hudson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Bill Lampp, Jr. (Ashley) of Norristown; daughter, Rhoda Lampp of Soperton; brother, Fred Abney, Jr. of Boerne, TX; sister, Pat Eckoff of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren, Bishop, Joliee Kay, Tiffany, Logan, Damion, Kayce, Raven, Blake and Gabrielle; six great grandchildren, Presley, Rory, Milo, Jaxson, Bradley and Kerry; several brothers/sisters-in-law, nieces/nephews and her best friend, Kathleen Cowart of Uvalda.
