Isaac McLendon
Funeral services for Mr. Isaac McLendon will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Norristown. Reverend Jack Stafford will officiate. Mr. McLendon died Monday, May 16, 2022 at his daughter’s home in Wadley, GA.
Mr. McLendon, 84, was the son of the late John Alvin & Mary Etta Maddox McLendon. He was born in Mt. Vernon, GA on December 11, 1937. He attended school in Montgomery County and was a retired painter from Adrian Homes, where he worked for over 30 years. He lived most of his life in Norristown before moving to Wadley last year to be with his daughter. Mr. McLendon was a longtime member of the Norristown Revival Center. His wife, Marella White McLendon; son, Terry McLendon; three brothers, Tony McLendon, James McLendon & J A Maddox and two sisters, Mary Ennis & Claudia Carter, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter, Pam (Steve) Anderson of Wadley; two sons, Thaxton McLendon of Norristown Junction and Stacy Mc Lendon of Adrian; step-son, Eugene Coleman of Adrian; brother, Johnny Earl McLendon of Vidalia; sister, Mae Frances Timon of Mt. Vernon; ten grandchildren, Chad (Adrian) McLendon of Macon, Thaxton (Crystal) McLendon, Jr. of Vidalia, Terry McLendon of Lake City, FL, Steven (Kayla) McLendon of Evans, Kevin McLendon of Evans, Hayden McLendon of Adrian, Caitlin (Dallas) Smith of Scott, Brandi (Joel) McDaniel of Soperton, Sierra Anderson of Wrightsville and Cameron Anderson of Wadley; seven great grandchildren, Hunter McLendon, Ava McLendon, Chloe McLendon, Ella McLendon, Joselyn McLendon, Kallex Smith and Callie Smith and several nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steven McLendon, Kevin McLendon, Terry McLendon, Thaxton McLendon, Jr., Hayden McLendon and Cameron Anderson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
