Joseph Gary Swearingen
Mr. Joseph Gary Swearingen of Soperton died Thursday, July 16, 2020 in Emanuel County from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Mr. Swearingen, 66, was the son of the late James Frank, Sr & Lois Fannin Swearingen. He was born in Moultrie, GA, was a graduate of Vidalia High School and also attended college. He had been a resident of Treutlen County for over 35 years, was a Veteran of the U S Army Rangers and was a retired self-employed mechanic. He was also a member of the Voice of Grace Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Garamiah Swearingen of Fitzgerald and Ronnie (Brenda) McGahee of Vidalia; two brothers, Kenneth (Charlotte) Fannin of Moultrie and James Frank (Ellen) Swearingen, Jr of Gatlinburg, TN; two sisters, Linda (Lynn) Swearingen Rice of Vidalia and Glenda (Johnny) Swearingen Yearty of Albany; several nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date by the family.
