Funeral services for Mr. Ed Calvin Maddox of Soperton will be held
Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the White Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurens County. The Reverend
Ray Wood will officiate. Mr. Maddox died Thursday September 15, 2016.
Mr. Maddox, 58, was the son of the late Eugene Talmadge & Geneva Tanner
Maddox. He was born in Toombs County and was a lifelong resident of
Treutlen County. He was a landscaper and a member of the Mt. Vernon
Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Melvin Eugene Maddox and Eddie Alvin
(Kathy) Maddox, both of Soperton; two sisters, Imogene Patrick of Kibbee
and Evie Jean (Jerry Bird) Beasley of Soperton; nieces & nephews, Mike Guin, Jr., Chris
Maddox, Eddie Alvin Maddox, Jr., Amy Marie Maddox, Joshua Lewis Maddox,
Travis Aaron Maddox, Melissa Patrick, Valerie Brady, Mahalia Jones, Terry
Wayne Williams, Sheila Ann Maddox, Sonia Patrick, Rachel Christine
(Edward) Bridges, Barbara Jean (Buck) Davis and several great nieces &
great nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Tanner and Brandon Phillips.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Guin, Jr., Eddie A. Maddox, Jr., Joshua
Maddox, Travis Maddox, Christopher Maddox and Terry Wayne Williams.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM tonight at the funeral home.
