Glennis S. Foskey

Graveside services for Mrs. Glennis S. Foskey of Soperton will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Westview Cemetery in Soperton. Reverend Chad Cofield will officiate. Mrs. Foskey died Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Mrs. Foskey, 86, was the daughter of the late Curt Spivey and Dessie Tyson Spivey. She was born in Vidalia on January 4, 1937 and was a graduate of Vidalia High School. She was a resident of Treutlen County for most of her life, was a retired Title 1 Secretary for the Treutlen County Board of Education and was also the secretary of Higgston Baptist Church for 10 years. Mrs. Foskey was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Soperton. Her husband, Billy Foskey; brother, Jim L. Spivey and two sisters, Clevis Spivey and Matalice Spivey Fech, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter, Vicki F. Valdez of Pooler; son, Wendell (Cindy) Foskey of Soperton; two grandchildren, Erin Foskey and Chris Foskey; three great grandchildren, Sadie Lindsey, River Beasley and Walker Foskey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday night from 6-8 PM at Higgs Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and Breast Cancer Awareness.
