Mallie Mae Wood Needer
Graveside services for Ms. Mallie Mae Wood Needer of Soperton will be held Tuesday morning, June 23, 2020 at 11 AM in the Red Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery in Treutlen County. Reverend Guy Aaron will officiate. Ms. Needer passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 21, 2020 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.
Ms. Needer, 76, was the daughter of the late Eschol & Bertie Clements Wood. She was born in Soperton and had lived in Treutlen County for most of her life. She was a retired meat cutter and a member of Mt. Vernon Pentecostal Church. She was also known for her love for all people along with her love for cooking and flowers. She was preceded in death by her two late husbands, Ray Pinkerton and Richard T. Needer and her brother, Jimmy Wood.
She leaves behind her children, Larry R. (Sandy) Pinkerton, Katherine (Eddie) Maddox, Richard G. (Donna) Needer, Tina (Caisa) Needer Powell, Anthony (Amy-aka her favorite daughter) Needer, all of Soperton; brother, Reverend Ray (Christi) Wood of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Sally Sprouse of Vidalia, Bonnie Faye (Tommy) Collins of Reidsville and Sherrie Sellers of Adrian; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends in the cemetery beginning at 10 AM.
