Preston Eugene Cauley
Funeral services for Mr. Preston Eugene Cauley will be held Monday, April 22, 2019 at
2 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Braddy Cemetery in Montgomery County. Reverend Owen Waters will officiate. Mr. Cauley died Friday, April 19, 2019.
Mr. Cauley, 87, was born in Montgomery County and had lived in Treutlen County most of his life. He was the son of the late Will and Flossie Edge Cauley. He was a heavy equipment operator for Graham Construction, a farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, two sisters, Louise Palmer & Annie Reynolds and brother, Sonny Cauley.
Survivors include his wife of over 64 years, Sallie Mae Hutto Cauley; two sons, William (Beverly) Cauley of Soperton and Glenn (Rose) Cauley of Soperton; one sister Elsa (William) Smith of Tarrytown; five grandchildren, Cathy (Jason) Funderburk of Swainsboro, Katie (Daniel) Williamson of Higgston, Will (Molly Pollette) Cauley of Soperton, Tyler Cauley and Calle Cauley of Soperton; six great-grandchildren, Mason, Madison and Mallory Funderburk and Kaden, Kace and Kamdyn Williamson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 Sunday night at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Randall Whitaker, Bob Whitaker, Russ Connell, Hugh McCord, Stacy Sumner and Billy Thigpen.
