Hayward Poole
Graveside services for Mr. Hayward Poole will be held Thursday, May 28,
2015 at 3:00 PM in the Holton Chapel Church Cemetery in Treutlen County. Mr.
Poole died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 after an extended illness.
Mr. Poole, 86, was the son of the late Willie H. Poole and Annie Brinson
Poole and lived most of his life in Treutlen County. He was a lifelong
farmer & gardener since childhood, was a retired school bus driver after
20 years of service with the Treutlen County Board of Education, was a
retired storekeeper at Gillis Springs for many years and he served as
Chairman of the Board for Treutlen County DFACS for many years. He was a
very hard worker, great provider, a devoted husband & father who enjoyed
providing for and spending time with his family. He loved to buy and
trade vehicles as well as work on them. He was a member of Holton Chapel
Church.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Nina Walker Poole; son, Russell
“Rusty” Love (Gennie Tapley), all of Soperton; daughter, Starla (Scott) Lampp of East
Dublin; six grandchildren, Scotty, Cody and Emily Lampp, all of East
Dublin, Patrick Love of Swainsboro, Adam Love of Jennie and Natalie Love
of Metter; great grandson, Noah Love; brother, Emory Poole of
Wrightsville; sister, Melba (Doc) Sapp of Bonaire and several nieces &
nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral
home.
