Ronald Edward “4 Barrel” Kight
Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Edward “4 Barrel” Kight will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Higgs Funeral Home in Soperton. Burial will follow in the Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend M.L. Barber and Reverend Michael Plowman will officiate. Mr. Kight died Monday, January 14, 2019.
Mr. Kight, 73, was the son of the late Rodus Edmond & Alma Phillips Kight. He was born in Dublin and had lived all of his life in Treutlen County. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Jennings Farms and a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Lyons. He loved farming, construction work, driving his tractor and his dogs. His son, Rodney Allen Kight and brother, Raymond Hutcheson preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Wanda Hutcheson Kight; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie & Jackie Kight and Mike & Christy Kight; four grandchildren, Jordy Kight, Dustin Kight, Tyler Summerall & Toby Kight; three great grandchildren, Joseph Moore, Heaven Moore & Kase Kight and several cousins.
Pallbearers will be Al Harper, Kenny Martin, David Herndon, Tony Bush, Tommy Bush and John Collins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Treutlen Health & Rehab, 2249 College St. N. Soperton, GA 30457.
