Johnnie Mae Poole Phillips
Graveside services for Ms. Johnnie Mae Poole Phillips will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Gilbert Posey will officiate. Ms. Phillips died Saturday, August 14, 2021.
Ms. Phillips, 82, was the daughter of the late Wade T. & Nina Mae Wilkes Poole. She was born on August 17, 1938 in Treutlen County and also attended school in Treutlen County. She was a practical nurse, a mental health worker, a housewife and a homemaker. She also farmed for many years with her husband, Leon. Ms. Phillips was a Baptist by faith and attended Holtons Chapel in Treutlen County. Her husband, Leon Phillips, Jr.; two brothers, James & Hudson Poole and sister, Magdelene Simons, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Danny Leon (Monica) Phillips; two daughters, Debi (Gilbert) Posey and Massie Lynn (Jeff) Kight, all of Soperton; sister, Blanche Edge of Vidalia; six grandchildren, Natalie Posey-Cox, Jerrell Posey, Chris (Bre) Kight, Ryan Kight, Jessica (Lee) Bell and Jonathon (Jenna) Phillips and twelve great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pruiett Hospice of Swainsboro.
